I started working with Katie after my 35th birthday which left me reflecting on life and feeling a little lost as to what was next for me. I felt like I have "achieved" all of the big milestones in life and felt directionless, and so I was looking to use the coaching to help me figure out what was important to me and where I wanted to go. What I actually got out of the sessions went beyond this. I have frequently throughout my life experiences somewhat turbulent waves of up and down emotion which I have struggled to navigate. During the coaching period, I experienced one of these waves, and so bringing attention to this, and experiencing it with someone where I could better reflect on the experience as it was happening, was incredibly impactful. I feel like I have so much more awareness of why I am experiencing these emotional waves, and how to best support myself when experiencing them, but to also give myself permission to give myself when I need when I'm in these emotional states i.e. a need to rest. And through the increased understanding I gained of myself, I was also able to resolve the feeling of listlessness I was experiencing about the future. I feel like through working with Katie she has helped me to get in touch with who I am and given me the external permission I needed to be who I now know myself to be.
